Planet Parade on June 3rd🪐

Planetary alignment, also known as planetary parade, occurs when several planets in the Solar System appear positioned in a straight or nearly straight line in the sky.

🗓️ In the early morning hours of June 3rd , the planets will be on the same side of the Sun as they move along their orbits. This makes them appear aligned in a straight line in the sky, a phenomenon known as a planetary parade.

What about visibility ? 👀

🪐 Mars and Saturn : These planets will be easily visible to the naked eye. Just before dawn, Mars and Saturn will be shining brightly on the still-dark horizon, before the sunlight overshadows them. Look toward sunrise to find them.

Mercury and Jupiter: Also visible to the naked eye, but their observation requires an unobstructed horizon, as they will be closer to the Sun and the time window to see them will be shorter.

🪄 Uranus and Neptune : They are not visible to the naked eye. To observe them, you will need a telescope.

Unfortunately, Venus will be on the other side of the Sun and will not be visible during this alignment.

To witness this spectacle, look up at the sky about an hour before sunrise . The Moon will also be visible and can help you locate the planets. Draw an imaginary line between the Moon and the brightest horizon (where the Sun will be about to rise). The planets will be distributed along this path.
